ASPARAGUS MENU

Due to it's unique season, Asparagus is generally available from St Georges Day 23rd April, to 25th June, give or take a week or two each side if we are lucky!!)  Please remember to only buy your local produce, where ever you may be in the country and help support your farmers.

Local Asparagus from Tregassow Farm, St. Erme, Nr Truro

Tregassow Asparagus and Potato Soup £6.00

 ½ Dz. Asparagus Fritters with Garlic Mayonnaise £6.50

 Chybucca Goats Cheese Fondue with Steamed Asparagus and Bruchetta £7.50

 Simply Grilled Asparagus with Lemon, Honey and Thyme Dressing £5.50

½ Dz. Asparagus Spears Wrapped in Deli Farm Coppa Ham with Tuscan Salad £9.50

To Accompany Your Asparagus, We Recommend:

Hendrick’s Gin and Tonic £3.20

Hendrick's is an unusual gin with an 'unexpected' infusion of cucumber and rose petals. Cucumber is recommended instead of lemon in your gin.

 Valencay Sauvignon Blanc, Vin de Pays du Val de Loire 2009 £19.50

A very elegant wine from the valley that’s home to Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé.  Fresh and clean with notes of cut grass and freshly torn herbs make this a perfect accompaniment to the asparagus season.

 Cornish Stingers (4.5%) 500ml £4.00

Wild and alcoholic white nettle “sparkle” produced by FoodsWild, Cornwall, using hand picked nettles.  Very different to anything you will have tasted before.  Try it as an aperitif as you would a Prosecco or as an accompaniment to our lighter summer dishes.

Tregassow Asparagus is available from Truro Farmers Market every Wednesday and Saturday until the middle June.
